Overcoming Pregnancy Anxiety Using a Fetal Heart Doppler

Fetal Heart Doppler When a woman finds out that she is going to have a baby, she might be filled with joy and anxiety at the same time.

Spending nine months walking around with a baby inside and never really knowing if that baby is okay can be very anxiety producing. Even though she may go to the doctor a couple times a month, a woman worries between those times that her baby’s heart may have stopped.

For instance, if the baby stops moving for a few hours then the mother to be might find herself very concerned. This is why many women are choosing to purchase a fetal heart doppler so that they can listen to their baby’s heartbeat anytime they want.

Fetal heart dopplers, also go by the name of baby heart monitors and prenatal heart monitors amongst other names. Essentially what they do is allow you to listen to your baby’s heart. Very like the fetal heart ultrasound that you get when you visit your health professional, or have an ultrasound at the hospital.

They are very easy to use, compact enough to carry around with you if you want and women who use them report that the peace of mind they can afford is amazing.

Yes you can of course listen to your baby’s heart activity without the use of a baby heart beat monitor, but as you know sometimes when we are concerned or worried, our own stress can get in the way and make it harder to quiten the noise in our heads to allow us to listen to something as subtle, gentle and quite as the heart beat of a baby.

It is amazing to think that just a few short years ago a woman could not have purchased one of these doppler machines for her home. She would have to wait for every doctors appointment to listen to see if the heartbeat was still there. Now, however, a woman can soothe her concerns anytime she wants by using a fetal heart doppler.

The great part about these baby heart dopplers is that you can purchase one online and they are not too pricey either. There are several different varieties and price ranges depending on what kind of features you want the unit to have. Women report getting it from their mailbox and running in the house to use it immediately.

The fetal doppler monitor machines will work no matter what size you are or what stage of pregnancy you are at as long as you are past about the 11 or 12 week mark.

Using a fetal heart doppler will help give you the peace of mind anytime you are concerned about your baby’s health and safety. Even if you aren’t concerned, it is a very soothing feeling to listen to your baby’s heartbeat anytime you want.

Another great use for a prenatal heart monitor is to enable your children to listen to their new brother or sister before they meet them. It can be uncomfortable for an expectant mother to meet the constant demands of excited children to hear the heartbeat, and a heart beat monitor can be just the thing to make this a more pleasant experience that can be shared by others.

Most of the time a fetal heart doppler is used as a fun way of listening to how your baby is doing, some mothers find it comforting to sit and listen to their baby, and in all but a very very few situations this is how they are normally used.

But there is a more serious and important side to monitoring your babys heart. Sometime an expectant Mum may feel that the baby is a little stressed or overexcited. In this case the fetal doppler monitor comes into its own, and will more than likely show that baby is fine, and its just the excitement and stress of Mum that is being detected at the time.

However, in the even that babys heart is beating a little faster than you are happy with, then you can take the necessary action and put in a call to your health professional for a chat to reassure you.

Another great aspect to using one of these amazing little prenatal heart monitor devices is the fact that some models print out a report. You can then keep these, either for your album, or on a more serious note you can keep a log of them, and show them when you next go to see your doctor, or visit the hospital.

Plus, if you believe in any of the old wives tales that say that the speed of the baby’s heart can tell you whether it is a boy or a girl, you will have fun guessing until you can find out on your own.

It is also worth checking out a baby doppler rental supplier, this suits some people well.
